COVID-19 and Cyberattacks: A deadly Pairing of Lethal Adversaries

On March 12, 2020 President Donald Trump called coronavirus an invisible enemy. As our nation continued to struggle with how best to contain the spread of this deadly contagion, another set of cohorts focused on capitalizing on our nation’s bewilderment. Deplorably, the weapons used by these killers would not only result in loss of life, but also be used to pursue financial gain. As the spread of COVID-19 continued to grow in intensity, health care organizations like Parkview Medical Center, DCH Regional Medical Center, and Campbell County Health were subjected to these types of covert weapons.
